2020 was.. well.. it was a year. Covid-19 took us all by surprise. It ruined a lot of our plans, our goals, our motivation, and so much more. We can’t blame ourselves for not achieving or doing what we wanted to do this past year. We have to give ourselves grace on this one. The mere fact that we got through 2020 is a huge accomplishment, so let’s all give ourselves a round of applause! Now it’s time to take on 2021!
The truth is, none of us can predict what will happen in 2021 as far as Covid-19 goes. It could stay the same, get better, or get worse (knock on wood for that one). The virus has taken some control from us that we can’t really take back, even if we ask politely. That doesn’t mean we can’t achieve our goals and plans for 2021. Girl, if you want to get in your best shape, do it! If you want to start that big project you’ve been holding onto in the back of your mind, start it! You can always move closer towards your dream life, no matter what the status of the world is.
You are a boss b*tch and if you don’t believe it, I dare you to tell yourself you are everyday. Over time you’ll realize that you truly are a BOSS A** B*ITCH and no one can stop you from achieving anything!!
Those motivational speakers who say that you are the only one getting in your way are kinda sorta telling the truth. It’s all about figuring out what your mental roadblocks are and removing them. If you really want to start eating healthier, you can’t just make a healthy food board on Pinterest and consider it a done deal. You have to actually get up and make those recipes.
It takes 3 weeks.. only 21 DAYS to build a habit.
If what you’re wanting really is to eat healthier, I challenge you to make a 3 week meal plan. Just an idea.. make a smoothie every morning for breakfast, eat a salad with any and all ingredients you want to put in for lunch, and find delicious recipes that you would be excited to make for dinner. If you find just 6 dinner recipes, you could make enough servings so that you’d only have to make 2 recipes per week, and there you go! You’ve got your dinners meal prepped and set out for the next 3 weeks! That sounds like a beautiful habit unfolding to me!
Even though it hurts to not be in control, we can’t predict what the status of the world will be in 2021. With that being said, it doesn’t mean that we have to be waiting for the world to get back to normal in order for us to work towards our goals. Whether you want to work on your health, your bank account, your relationships, your home, or anything, you can absolutely take the first steps right now. Just try. If it doesn’t work out, at least you can say you gave it your all.
